01Overview

BlackFort Wallet ("we", "our", or "the Extension") is a browser extension built on Chrome Manifest V3. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension handles, how it handles it, and your rights with respect to that information.

By installing and using BlackFort Wallet, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

02Data We Do Not Collect

BlackFort Wallet does not collect, transmit, store on any server, or share any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Wallet addresses, private keys, seed phrases, or any cryptographic material
• Transaction history or financial activity
• Browsing history or tab activity
• IP addresses or geolocation data
• Device identifiers or hardware fingerprints
• Usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
• Any form of behavioral or advertising data

We operate on a strict zero data collection policy. There are no analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or third-party data services embedded in this extension.

03Local Storage

The Extension uses chrome.storage.local to persist data exclusively on your device. This may include:

• Encrypted wallet data and preferences
• User interface settings and note content
• Session state for active features

This data is stored locally in your Chrome browser profile. It is never synced to any external server, never transmitted over any network connection, and is only accessible by the Extension itself within the Chrome sandbox.

You can clear this data at any time by removing the Extension from Chrome or clearing browser extension storage through Chrome's settings.

04Third-Party Services

BlackFort Wallet does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, including but not limited to:

• Analytics providers (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
• Advertising networks or data brokers
• Cloud storage or database providers
• Customer support platforms with data collection
• Social media tracking or login services

Any external network requests made by the Extension are limited strictly to blockchain RPC endpoints necessary for transaction broadcasting — and these requests contain no personal identifiers.

05Extension Permissions

BlackFort Wallet requests the following Chrome permissions. Here is why each is required:

• storage — To save encrypted wallet data and user preferences locally on your device.
• downloads — To allow image conversion output to be saved to your local machine.
• offscreen — To perform image processing operations in an isolated background context.
• activeTab — To interact with the currently active tab when the extension icon is clicked.

We do not request permissions for browsing history, bookmarks, clipboard (beyond explicit user action), or any other sensitive browser data.

06Security

Security is the foundational principle of BlackFort Wallet's architecture:

• All sensitive data stored locally is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
• The Extension is built on Chrome Manifest V3, which enforces strict sandboxing and disallows remotely hosted code.
• A hardened Content Security Policy (CSP) prevents execution of any external scripts or resources.
• Private keys and seed phrases are never transmitted over any network connection under any circumstances.
• The Extension code is open to public audit and review.

While we implement strong security measures, no software is completely immune to vulnerabilities. We encourage users to practice good security hygiene, including safeguarding their seed phrases offline.

07Children's Privacy

BlackFort Wallet is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Given that we collect no personal data from any user, this policy applies universally regardless of age.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using this Extension, please be aware that no personal data is being collected or transmitted.

08Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Extension's functionality or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and publish the new version.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
